Apps is a brand new part of Replit where you can discover and share repls to run, comment and fork

Originally called "explore" as the general idea is to "explore repls", Replit Apps is an eventual replacement for the Repl Talk forum. It is directly linked to sharing repls, rather than making a post about them, you simply "publish" the repl itself. Users can then comment and react to give feedback on the repl, rather that through upvotes.

Instead of upvotes to gauge your repl's popularity, Replit Apps use the number of forks and runs. Tags are used to categorize repls, rather than the boards system that Repl Talk used. Due to tags being anything the user wants them to be, tags such as "lol" have arisen, and due to there being no way to see a list of what repls you have published, tags such as "CodingCactus" are used for users to keep track of what they have published.

Especially notable repls can be chosen by Replit admins to be featured at the top of the page.

Finally, users are asked to read the guidelines before publishing a rep for the first time, this was one of the problems with Repl Talk, as a lot of the time users never actually read the rules of the forum. The Replit Apps publishing Guidelines can be found here.
